Polyester Round Sling – 1T WLL

The polyester round sling is a versatile and high-performance lifting solution designed for a wide range of industrial and rigging applications. Colour-coded violet in accordance with EN 1492-2, this sling carries a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 1 tonne, making it immediately identifiable on site and ensuring compliance with European safety standards. Manufactured from continuous-loop high-tenacity polyester fibres encased in a durable woven jacket, the round sling delivers consistent, reliable performance across vertical, choker, and basket hitch configurations.

Unlike chain or wire rope slings, the polyester round sling's soft, flexible construction makes it the preferred choice when handling delicate, polished, or finished load surfaces where scratching, denting, or surface contamination must be avoided. Its inherent flexibility allows it to conform naturally to the shape of the load, distributing pressure evenly and reducing the risk of point loading. The sling is equally well suited to multi-leg rigging configurations, where its light weight and ease of handling simplify rigging set-up and reduce operator fatigue without compromising lifting capacity.

Proper care and regular inspection are essential to maintaining the safe working life of the round sling. Before each use, inspect the outer jacket for cuts, abrasions, tears, or signs of chemical or heat damage, and check the load indicator window — if the coloured core fibres are visible through the window, the sling must be immediately withdrawn from service and retired. The sling should also be retired if it has been subjected to shock loading, prolonged exposure to acids, alkalis, or elevated temperatures, or if any doubt exists regarding its integrity. Store the sling clean, dry, and away from direct sunlight, sharp edges, and corrosive substances to maximise its service life.
