ZERUST® Zerion™ FVS is a high-performance corrosion inhibiting powder designed for industrial environments where vapor spaces coexist with the risk of water ingress. Unlike single-mechanism inhibitors, Zerion™ FVS integrates both Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) and Soluble Corrosion Inhibitor (SCI) chemistries into one versatile powder formulation, delivering layered protection against corrosion in even the most challenging conditions.

How It Works

Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) Action

The VCI component volatilises within enclosed spaces, forming a protective molecular layer on metal surfaces. This invisible barrier interrupts the electrochemical reactions responsible for corrosion, providing continuous protection without requiring direct contact with the metal surface.

Soluble Corrosion Inhibitor (SCI) Action

When water ingress occurs, the SCI component dissolves into the aqueous phase and actively neutralises corrosive contaminants such as chlorides, sulfates, and acidic compounds. This dual-phase response ensures that metal assets remain protected even when condensation or water infiltration is unavoidable.

Usage Guidance

Dosage rates should be determined based on the volume of the vapor space and the anticipated level of water ingress risk; consult ZERUST technical documentation or your regional representative for application-specific guidance.
