CPVC Ball Valve

CPVC Ball Valve — Image 1

Overview

The CPVC Ball Valve is engineered for reliable on/off flow control in demanding industrial and process environments. Manufactured from Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), the valve body and ball deliver outstanding resistance to a broad spectrum of chemicals, corrosive media, and high-purity fluids — making it an ideal choice where metal valves would be susceptible to corrosion or contamination.

Full-Bore Design and Low Pressure Drop

The full-bore (full-port) design ensures that the internal flow path matches the nominal pipe bore, minimising turbulence and pressure drop across the valve. This makes the valve well-suited for applications where maintaining flow efficiency is critical, such as chemical dosing lines, high-purity water circuits, and process pipework where head loss must be kept to a minimum.

PTFE Seats and Lever Handle Operation

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) seats provide a low-friction sealing surface that is chemically inert across virtually all process fluids. The seats ensure a bubble-tight shut-off while requiring minimal operating torque. The ergonomic lever handle allows quick quarter-turn operation, giving clear visual indication of the open or closed position at a glance.

End Connections, Size Range, and Pressure Rating

Available in socket (solvent weld) and threaded end connections, the valve integrates easily into both new and existing CPVC piping systems. The size range spans 1/4" to 4", covering the majority of industrial process line sizes. The valve is rated for a maximum working pressure of 16 bar, ensuring safe and reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions.

Standards Compliance and Applications

Manufactured in compliance with ASTM D1784, the valve meets established material and dimensional standards for CPVC thermoplastic compounds. It is suitable for a wide range of applications including chemical processing, water treatment, semiconductor and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and any system handling corrosive or high-purity fluids where material integrity and long service life are essential.
