Overview

The Horizontal Pressure Vessel is a robust, industrial-grade storage and buffer vessel designed for demanding compressed air, gas, and process fluid applications. Engineered to the highest international standards, it delivers reliable performance across a wide range of operating conditions in industrial, manufacturing, and process plant environments.

Construction Materials

Vessels are available in carbon steel or stainless steel construction to suit the specific requirements of the application and the medium being stored. Carbon steel vessels offer a cost-effective solution for standard compressed air and inert gas applications, while stainless steel variants provide superior corrosion resistance for process fluids, food-grade environments, and aggressive media. All shells are fabricated from certified pressure vessel plate and undergo full weld inspection prior to testing.

Certifications

Each vessel is manufactured and certified in accordance with ASME Section VIII (Division 1) or the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED 2014/68/EU), depending on the destination market and customer specification. Certification documentation, including material traceability records, hydrostatic test certificates, and third-party inspection reports, is supplied as standard with every vessel.

Capacity and Pressure Ratings

The range covers capacities from 100 litres to 10,000 litres, enabling selection of the correct vessel volume for the system demand. Pressure ratings span from 10 bar to 25 bar maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP), accommodating the majority of industrial compressed air and process gas systems. Custom capacities and pressure ratings beyond the standard range are available on request.

Mounting and Installation

The vessel is configured for horizontal installation and is supplied with integral leg or saddle supports to facilitate floor mounting. The horizontal orientation minimises installation height requirements and simplifies integration into plant rooms and compressor houses. Support saddles are designed to accommodate thermal expansion and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation when appropriately protected.

Connections

Standard connection ports include inlet, outlet, drain, and safety valve nozzles, all sized and positioned to suit the vessel capacity and system design. Connections are provided as flanged or threaded nozzles in accordance with the applicable standard. Additional nozzles for pressure gauges, level indicators, or instrumentation can be incorporated at the design stage.
