Overview

The Push-To-Connect Fitting is a high-performance pneumatic push-in connector designed for rapid, tool-free tube installation in compressed air and pneumatic control systems. A single one-touch action locks the tube securely in place, eliminating the need for threading, soldering, or additional sealing compounds.

Construction & Materials

The fitting body is available in two material options to suit different application requirements. The nylon (polyamide) body offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution ideal for general-purpose pneumatic circuits, while the brass body provides enhanced durability and is suited for higher-demand industrial environments. The internal gripping mechanism features a stainless steel collet with an integrated release ring, ensuring a firm, leak-free grip on the tube while allowing quick disconnection when required.

Tube Compatibility & Pressure Rating

These fittings accommodate standard pneumatic tubing with an outer diameter (OD) range of 4 mm to 16 mm, covering the most common tube sizes used in industrial automation and compressed air distribution. The working pressure range is 0 to 10 bar, making them suitable for the majority of pneumatic circuit operating conditions.

Available Configurations

Push-to-connect fittings are offered in multiple configurations to address a wide variety of plumbing layouts and installation constraints:

  • Straight Union — inline connection of two tubes of equal or different diameters.
  • Elbow (90°) — directional change in confined spaces without bending the tube.
  • Tee — splits or combines airflow at a single junction point.
  • Bulkhead — panel-mount fitting for routing tubes through enclosure walls or manifolds.

Color-Coding by Size

Each fitting size is distinguished by a unique body or collet color, enabling fast visual identification during assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This color-coding system reduces installation errors and speeds up circuit building on the production floor.

Typical Applications

Push-to-connect fittings are widely used across industrial and commercial sectors wherever reliable, leak-free pneumatic connections are required:

  • Pneumatic control circuits and actuator supply lines
  • Compressed air distribution networks and manifold systems
  • Industrial automation and robotic assembly lines
  • Packaging machinery, conveyors, and material handling equipment
  • Food and beverage processing (nylon body, food-grade compatible variants)
